Is(s) mir egal – Culture study

Sechs Löffel aus Wildschweinfell, Silber, Edelstahl und Porzellan mit dem Pinkdot Design Logo

In today´s culture the spoon is an object with less appreciation. Thereby it is one of our oldest cutlery and multifunctional in its use. Over the centuries a shape has been defined which establishes the architype. In everyday´s use the spoon should never attract any attention but only be functional to eat comfortably with. How much and what we eat has no more appreciation than the spoon itself. What happens if you modify this omnipresent object in our food culture?

In the study with the title „is(s) mir egal“ the spoon is regarded from two aspects: as a practical utensil or what you eat with. Six individual spoons which characterize a saying. Each spoon describes a characteristic or person.
